Making The Holidays Sparkle For Kids with a Teddy Bear Drive
Church of Scientology Los Angeles launches a massive toy and teddy bear drive for kids in need.
The Church of Scientology of Los Angeles has just launched a major toy and teddy bear drive to support the Northeast Los Angeles Police Department and Fire Department this holiday season.
Every single day of the year our police officers and fire fighters respond to numerous calls all over the city of Los Angeles. And as disasters do not discriminate, they involve those of all ages, including our children and youth. For this reason, these public servants carry teddy bears in their trunks and trucks, to have a small gesture of comfort to give to a child who has to live through the trauma of crime or fire.
Additionally, the East Hollywood LA Police Department needs toys every year at Christmas time to provide parents who need a helping hand with toys they can then give to their children. So in addition to collecting teddy bears, the Church is collecting new, unwrapped toys that will be given to the Northeast Police Station, who will then provide them to families who need help.
1,000 teddy bears and toys are needed to help ensure this holiday is a merry one for everyone! If you can help, please bring new unwrapped toys to the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles at 4810 West Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027. It’s the big blue building across from Kaiser Hospital.
